The Joint Commission's Certificate of Distinction for Primary Stroke Centers recognizes centers that make exceptional efforts to foster better outcomes for stroke care.  Achievement of certification signifies that the services that we provide have the critical elements to achieve long-term success in improving outcomes.  It is the best signal to our community that the quality care we provide is effectively managed to meet the unique and specialized needs of stroke patients.

Mercy Suburban is one of only 405 hospitals and critical access hospitals earning the distinction of top performer on key quality measures for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance.  Inclusion on the list is based on an aggregation of accountability measure data reported to The Joint Commission during the previous calendar year. 

3rd in State Quality Insights of PA Mercy Suburban Hospital was ranked 3rd in State by Quality Insights of Pennsylvania for overall quality care.

Get with the Guidelines Bronze Heart Failure

Mercy Suburban Hospital received the Get With The Guidelines Bronze Quality Achievement Award for Heart Failure. The recognition signifies that Mercy Suburban has reached an aggressive goal of treating heart failure patients for at least 90 days with 85 percent compliance to core standard levels of care outlined by the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology secondary prevention guidelines for heart failure patients.

Accreditation is a perr-reviewed, educationally focused evaluation process to help assure our patients of the highest level of image quality and safety.  It documents that our facility meets accreditation requirements for equipment, continuing education and personnel.
