Nazareth Hospital Appoints Cancer Nurse Navigator

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA: Nazareth Hospital proudly announces that Teresa Cannon, BSN, RN, OCN, has been appointed Oncology Nurse Navigator, effective immediately. Terrie, who previously served as Charge Nurse/Team Leader for the Infusion Center, brings over 30 years of professional nursing expertise to her new role. Terrie facilitates cancer support groups at the Hospital, and organizes Nazareth's annual Cancer Survivors' Day celebration.

"In her new role, Terrie will help facilitate the care for our patients with cancer, by educating and advocating for them, guiding them through their treatment and recovery, and linking them to needed resources," said Chief Nursing Officer Monica Eckhardt, MSN, RN. "Terrie will essentially be our patients' personal cancer coach. Her expertise and warmth are a winning combination for our patients."
