Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital to Kick Off Holiday Season with Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Community Members Invited to Enjoy Musical Performance and Take Photos with Santa

Darby, PA (November 19, 2012): On Thursday, December 6, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will welcome the holiday season with its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The night’s festivities will kick off with musical entertainment by Darren Lucis and Joanne Farrell of the group Sway, and will also include a live nativity scene. The ceremony will culminate with the lighting of the great American holly tree with the help of the Yeadon and Darby Fire Companies, as well as Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital EMTs.

In honor of the Feast of St. Nick, children and parents will also have the opportunity to take photos with Santa, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

As a special gift, all attendees of the ceremony will receive a Christmas Ornament to decorate their own tree with.

Refreshments will be served in the Gift Shop Lobby of the hospital. Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is free to the public.
