Community invited to attend sessions on heart health, balance issues and more

Darby, Pa.: May is Older Americans Month. Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital invites the community to attend free health sessions throughout the month, including:

Stroke Awareness with Free Blood Pressure Screenings presented by Kathy Atwell, RN MSN
Monday, May 14
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Dine with the Docs: Special Orthopedics Edition: Arthritis Care & Treatment Options featuring a panel of musculoskeletal physicians and experts
Tuesday, May 15
5:00 p.m. (free screenings)
6:00 p.m. (dinner and presentation)

Surviving Spring Allergies presented by Uyen Hoang, DO and Brett Lindgren, DO
Tuesday, May 22
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Dine with the Docs: Heart Disease in the Elderly presented by Mercy Cardiologist Richard Hunn, MD
Wednesday, May 23
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Healthy Eating in Older Adults presented by Laura Reider, Nutrition Services
Wednesday, May 30
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Dizziness and Balance Issues: How to Cope as we Age presented by Joann Bevan, MSCCA, Audiologist and featuring Free Balance Screenings
Wednesday, May 30
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

All sessions will take place in the hospital’s Norman N. Cohen, MD Auditorium, located at 1500 Lansdowne Avenue.
