Nazareth Hospital Foundation’s 28th Annual Golf Classic Nets $35,000
NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (June 20, 2012): Nazareth Hospital Foundation held its 28th Annual Golf Classic at Torresdale–Frankford Country Club on June 6. Golfers filled the course and the event drew the support of many local businesses. Net proceeds totaling more than $35,000 will benefit the Hospital’s many community programs.
“In the past 12 months, we’ve put donations and grants to work to do flu shot clinics, homeless outreach, screenings, and education for our community including many cancer topics, arthritis and orthopedics, cardiovascular health, stroke awareness, memory loss and dementia. We have also launched such services as Mercy Bariatrics, our vein center, and our balance program – which extends our work on fall prevention into the community to help keep seniors and others at risk safe. So thank you for helping us keep up our work of helping to improve the health of our community,” said Anthony J. Szuszczewicz, Chairman of Nazareth’s Board and Chairman of Polonia Bank, in his remarks to attendees.
