Nazareth Hospital Shares Holiday Blessings with the Community
NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (December 21, 2012): Nazareth Hospital continued its tradition of supporting our community by sharing blessings with those less fortunate. During the season of giving, Nazareth colleagues helped spread holiday cheer by participating a holiday non-perishable drive, a coat drive, a personal items collection, and a blood drive.
The drives benefited local food cupboard King’s Kitchen at Holmesburg United Methodist Church, the One Warm Coat drive, DePaul House for homeless men and the American Red Cross Blood Drive.
Nazareth colleagues donated over 70 bags of non-perishable food, over 60 coats, 27 bags of personal care items and 62 pints of blood.
“We thank our colleagues for their generosity. Their compassion and spirit shine through every day in the care they provide our patients, in their kindness and in their sense of connectedness to our community,” said Nazareth Hospital Executive Director Nancy Cherone, FACHE. “That’s what makes Nazareth such a special place.”
