Mercy Philadelphia Hospital Holds Stroke Awareness Events
Philadelphia, PA (April 29, 2013) In honor of Stroke Awareness Month in May, Mercy Philadelphia Hospital will be hosting a Dine with the Docs session featuring Reducing Your Risk for Stroke, presented by Neurologist Salman Wali, MD and Stroke Coordinator Lynn Rinylo, RN, BSE on Saturday, May 11, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This free educational session will replace the Stroke Support Group, normally scheduled for Thursday, May 2. The Stroke Support Group, offered by Mercy Philadelphia Hospital, is a series of free meetings designed to offer extra help and to provide information for individuals who have suffered a stroke or “mini” stroke. Meetings are also open to family members and caregivers.
The Stroke Support Group meets the first Thursday of each month, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., held in the Executive Dining Room. The remaining 2013 dates are listed below:
- Saturday, May 11 – Reducing Your Risk for Stroke, presented by Neurologist Salman Wali, MD and Stroke Coordinator Lynn Rinylo, RN, BSE (This event replaces the May 2 meeting)

- Thursday, December 5
