Advanced Wound Care Center at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Earns Center of Excellence Award
Darby, PA (July 14, 2014): Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital has announced that their Advanced Wound Care Center is a recipient of RestorixHealth’s newly launched Wound Center of Excellence awards. The Wound Center of Excellence award is presented to those centers that meet or exceed national wound care quality benchmarks in areas including healing outcomes and safety, along with a patient satisfaction rate of 95 percent or higher. Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital has an overall healing rate of 93 percent and a patient satisfaction rate of 99 percent.

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is the only hospital within Mercy Health System and one of only four centers across the nation to receive this distinction from RestorixHealth, a leading wound care management company.
The Advanced Wound Care Center at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is a specialized, outpatient wound care treatment center dedicated to the care of patients with chronic, non-healing wounds, such as those resulting from diabetes, circulatory problems, or injury resulting from radiation. The center is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurses offering the most advanced therapies available, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
