Mercy Suburban Hospital Voted Best Hospital in Times Herald’s 2014 Readers’ Choice Awards
EAST NORRITON, PA (July 21, 2014): Mercy Suburban Hospital has been voted Best Hospital and One of the Best of for Physical Therapy in Montgomery County in The Times Herald's 2014 Best of Montco Readers' Choice Awards. For several years in a row, Mercy Suburban Hospital has been voted Best Hospital in Montgomery County. This is the first year that Mercy Suburban Hospital has earned the designation as One of the Best of for Physical Therapy in Montgomery County.
In addition to Mercy Suburban earning several Best of designations, two doctors were recognized by readers in the contest. William R. Dickerman, DO, physician with Family Practice of Jeffersonville, was named Best Family Doctor; and Leslie Tupchong, MD, radiation oncologist with Mercy Cancer Center at Mercy Suburban Hospital, was named Best Oncologist.
The annual contest is held by The Times Herald — a daily metropolitan newspaper serving the greater Southeastern Pennsylvania region. Throughout the month of June, Times Herald readers voted for their favorite area establishments they would like to see earn recognition and praise. Categories included healthcare, grocery store, restaurant and other organizations. This accomplishment will be included in the upcoming edition of The Best of Montco 2014 — a special publication listing all the winners of the Times Herald Readers' Choice Contest. A publication date has not been announced at this time.
“We are honored to earn several Best of and One of the Best honors in this year’s Times Herald's 2014 Best of Montco Readers' Choice Award. The recognitions show that we are committed to delivering exceptional care and the community recognizes our efforts,” Michael Magro Jr., DO, FACOI, Chief Medical Officer for Mercy Suburban Hospital, said.
