Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Hosting Tree Lighting, Live Nativity and Visit with Santa on December 8

Darby, PA (November 24, 2015): Children and adults alike are sure to get into the holiday spirit when Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital hosts its Annual Tree Lighting on Wednesday, December 8 at 5 p.m. in the front horseshoe driveway on Lansdowne Ave.

The evening’s festivities will include a live nativity scene featuring a cast of hospital employees. Christmas carols will be led by Darren Lucis and Joanne Farrell of the group Sway and Santa Claus will make a stop at the event. The ceremony will culminate with the lighting of the hospital’s great American holly tree with help from Yeadon Fire Company and Mercy EMS.

Children can visit with Santa after the tree lighting ceremony from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Parents are advised to bring their own cameras for photos.

Refreshments will be served indoors. All attendees will receive a special gift. The event is open to the public.
