Mercy Golf Classic Set for September 21
Tennis Clinic and Round-Robin Tournament Added This Year
DARBY, PA (July 14, 2015) – Mercy Fitzgerald and Mercy Philadelphia Hospitals will host the 21st Annual Mercy Golf Classic on Monday, September 21 at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square. This premier event will once again benefit Mercy Cancer Care.
Registration and range will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:15 a.m. Shotgun start will be at 12:15 p.m. The tournament follows an individual stroke play format and features a hole-in-one contest with the chance to win a brand new vehicle. A tennis clinic with an Aronimink Club pro and round-robin tournament has also been added to the event schedule. A reception featuring a surf and turf dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m.
In 2014, the Mercy Golf Classic raised $105,000 towards the Mercy Cancer Care programs at Mercy Fitzgerald and Mercy Philadelphia Hospitals. Funds raised from Mercy Golf Classic throughout the years have enabled the hospitals to develop cancer support services and invest in facility enhancements at the Mercy Cancer Centers. These enhancements have included the addition of a state-of-the-art infusion center at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, advanced diagnostics and imaging capabilities, and the latest cancer treatment options.
