Mercy Philadelphia Hospital Nurse Publishes Article on Potential Health Ramifications of Fracking

Carly CruzWEST PHILADELPHIA, PA (July 10, 2015): Carly Cruz, BSN, RN, a nurse in the Emergency Department at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital, recently published an article that details the potential health and environmental ramifications of the practice of Fracking. The article titled, “Hydraulic Fracturing: Environmental and Public Health Advocacy,” was featured in the Spring 2015 edition of Pennsylvania Nurse, the publication of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association. A post-test that provides 1.0 contact hours (CE) is included with the article.

Cruz is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in nursing with a primary focus on public health.
