Nazareth Hospital Appoints Emergency Department Senior Nurse Navigator

LionNORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (June 3, 2015): Nazareth Hospital proudly announces that Lindsay Lion, BSN, RN, has been appointed Emergency Department Senior Nurse Navigator, effective June 1, 2015. Lindsay has been a nurse for more than 10 years and has worked in healthcare for 15 years. Lindsay has extensive experience as a charge nurse in the Emergency Department and as an educator of physicians and patients.

Skilled, experienced, helpful and caring, Lindsay helps older patients and their families connect with the follow-up and aftercare they need. Her job is to facilitate the emergency healthcare experience for Nazareth Hospital’s patients aged 65 and older. In Lindsay’s new role, she will call patients who have been discharged from the Emergency Department to ensure they understood their discharge instructions, schedule follow-up appointments, provide medication support and much more.

Lindsay earned her BSN in Nursing from the University of Texas, her Associate’s degree in Nursing from St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ, and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Temple University.
