Nazareth Hospital, Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park Offer Free Adult Healthy Living Event on Heart Health and Nutrition

Event will be held on March 15. Free health screenings will be provided.

Northeast Philadelphia (February 22, 2016): Nazareth Hospital and Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park have partnered to present a new and engaging educational program—the Adult Healthy Living series—to improve the health of residents of our community. Members of the public are welcome to attend free events and learn from healthcare and clinical experts how to live healthier. Our March event will focus on Heart Health and Nutrition.

On Tuesday, March 15, attend a free lecture on a realistic approach to nutrition and healthy eating in older adults presented by Thomas Metkus, MD of Mercy Cardiology. Other services at the event include blood pressure screenings, learning stroke warning signs, finding healthier fast food options and a free healthy cooking demo and food sampling.

This Adult Healthy Living educational event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is being held at Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park, located at 8401 Roosevelt Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19152. Light refreshments will be provided by Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park Culinary Department.
