May is National Older American’s Month, and the healthcare team at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital’s Advanced Wound Care Center is raising awareness on wound prevention and treatment by hosting Wound Care and Prevention on Monday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Sister Marie Lenahan Wellness Center, 1503 Lansdowne Avenue, Darby.

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital's Cardiac Patient Recounts Visit From Angel

In August, William “Bill” Pitts, a local man from Darby, was reunited with the Mercy Fitzgerald physicians, nurses and EMT personnel who helped save his life after her suffered a cardiac arrest and crashed his tow truck in front of Darby Fire Company #1.

Recently, Delco Times did a follow-up interview with Bill, and spoke with him about his recollection of that day. During the interview, Bill shared his memory of being visited by St. Michael the Archangel. Read the full story.
