Mercy Suburban Hospital is hosting a free breakfast and health screening event in honor and appreciation of U.S. military veterans.
Mercy Suburban will offer a number of different screenings, including blood pressure, stroke risk assessment and lung cancer risk assessment. Informational literature on smoking cessation, cardiovascular health and early detection of cancer will be provided. Veterans will also have an opportunity to meet Mercy Suburban Hospital physicians and ask any health questions they may have. William J. Strimel, DO, FACC, FACP, Medical Director of Cardiology for Mercy Suburban Hospital and United States National Guard member, who also is an active duty combat veteran, will also be in attendance. Representatives from the Veterans Affairs Department of Montgomery County will have a resource table at the event.
A free buffet breakfast will be served.
