The educational program in Diagnostic Radiology includes daily conferences given by attending radiologists, as well as at least biweekly lectures by visiting professors. Radiology residents give a monthly conference for third- and fourth-year medical students who rotate through the institution. Interesting Case Conference and Teaching File Conference are held monthly by the residents and attending radiologists. Visiting Professor Lectures at MCMC and at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA are coordinated for residents in both programs. Residents also participate in the monthly City-Wide Pediatric Conference at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.
MCMC holds weekly Core Curriculum conferences for all residents within the institution.
- Tumor Board conference is held weekly at both Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Mercy Philadelphia Hospital. This conference is an interdepartmental conference which includes Radiology, Pathology, Oncology, Surgery and Radiation Oncology.
- Breast Panel conference is held weekly at both Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and Mercy Philadelphia Hospital. This conference is an interdepartmental conference which includes Radiology, Pathology, Oncology, Surgery and Radiation Oncology.
In addition, Mercy Health System sponsors weekly Grand Rounds from each specialty area of the institution.

In addition to intradepartmental and interdepartmental conferences at MCMC, residents are urged to attend monthly conferences held throughout the Philadelphia area that are offered by subspecialty societies, including the Angiography Society, Mammography Society, Nuclear Medicine Society, Orthopedic-Radiology-Pathology (ORP) Society, City-Wide Pediatric Conference, Philadelphia Roentgen Ray Society and the Greater Delaware Valley Ultrasound Society.
