This compliments the strong, well-established Osteopathic Rotating Internship program and the Osteopathic Internal Medicine Residency program. Both are fully approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
As a demonstration of the quality and commitment of Osteopathic medical education, the MCMC Internal Medicine Residency was inspected by the AOA recently and awarded its highest approval rating, a 5-year re-certification.
MCMC's affiliation with PCOM’s OPTI (Osteopathic Postdoctoral Training Institutions) (PCOM MedNet) offers trainees additional resources to support their Osteopathic medical education. The Director of the Osteopathic Programs, Dr. Valentino, also has held positions on the PCOM MedNet Executive Board.
