Scott Forman, DOMessage from the Program Director

The Osteopathic Internal Medicine Residency program at Mercy Catholic Medical Center (MCMC) is vibrant and growing. We have 12 positions approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

Operating in conjunction with our well-established Internal Medicine Residency in the accredited Graduate Medical Education program, we offer a solid training foundation in clinical internal medicine which will prepare our Osteopathic residents for a successful career in outpatient or inpatient primary care, or further study in one of the medical subspecialties. We have cultivated an excellent track record for placement in superior subspecialty fellowship programs regionally and abroad.

Your three years of training at MCMC in Internal Medicine will encompass the gamut of inpatient and outpatient clinical experiences. Additionally, monthly Osteopathic Case conferences at MCMC and OMM seminars at our OPTI (Osteopathic Postdoctoral Training Institutions) affiliate, the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) reinforce the basic tenants of Osteopathy, while emphasizing practical application of OMM/OMT (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment) in real world practice.

Our program brochure will provide you with more details about our program. We participate in the ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) Osteopathic Match program in accordance with all AOA rules and regulations.
