Nazareth Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesiology is not currently accepting applications for admission.

 

Admission Criteria

  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Nursing
  • Possession of a current, valid, professional/registered nursing license in one jurisdiction of the United States which satisfies the requirements of the applicable state board of nursing
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a critical care setting. The Nazareth Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia defines a critical care setting as intensive care (CTICU, SICU or CCU). Program administrators are available to advise potential students of the benefits of these critical care employment prerequisite requirements. It remains the prerogative of the program through adherence to the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Standards to discern what constitutes an appropriate critical care setting
  • Evidence of current CPR, PALS and ACLS certifications
  • A personal interview with the Admissions Committee

Application Procedure

Applicants to the School of Nurse Anesthesiology should proceed as follows.

Submit the following items to the Program Director:

  • A completed application with a $35 non-refundable application fee
  • Evidence of a current and valid United States professional nursing license (upon acceptance, a Pennsylvania nursing license is required).
  • Evidence of current CPR, PALS and ACLS certifications
  • A resume

Request the following items to be sent to the Program Director:

  • All official academic transcripts from High School, and all colleges attended
  • A letter of recommendation from the director of your college of nursing.
  • A letter from your current employer attesting to your professional abilities
  • Completion of the GREs at the earliest date with results sent to the school
