Schwartz Center Rounds

The Schwartz Center Rounds is a multidisciplinary forum where caregivers can have a safe, open and relaxed place to share their concerns and experiences in patient care.

Each session will focus on a compelling patient case that brought up interesting social and emotional issues. Three caregivers (e.g. physician, nurse and case manager) who were involved in that case will serve as panelists. The Rounds are open to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Mercy Philadelphia Hospital and Mercy Suburban Hospital medical staff and staff only. CME credits are available.

Schwartz Center Rounds

  • Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital: Rounds are held the first Thursday of every month.
  • Mercy Philadelphia Hospital: Rounds are held the fourth Tuesday of every month.
  • Mercy Suburban Hospital: Rounds are held every other month.

Other caregivers involved in the case can participate in the group discussion. Patient and participant confidentiality will be maintained at all times. Topics and cases will rotate each month by departments to address the breadth of issues and scenarios that healthcare workers face.

The Rounds are supported by The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center, an organization dedicated to strengthening the relationship between patients and caregivers in the changing healthcare system.
