Diabetes Management

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) estimates that nearly 26 million Americans have diabetes. Out of that, 18.8 million have already been diagnosed while 7 million people are still undiagnosed. The ADA also estimates that as many as 1 in 3 Americans will have diabetes by the year 2050 if present trends continue.

With numbers like these, chances are you know someone who’s living with diabetes. If that person is you, the healthcare experts at Mercy Health System can help you successfully manage your diabetes and lead a full and healthy life.

Services such as diabetes education, support groups, nutritional counseling for a diabetes diet, and wound prevention and wound care are available at all four Mercy Health System hospitals—Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Mercy Philadelphia Hospital and Nazareth Hospital.
