Acid Reflux

Acid Reflux is a condition in which the stomach contents (food or liquid) or stomach acid leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus.

Acid Reflux Symptoms include:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Bloating
  • Burping
  • Heartburn
  • Nausea
  • Pain when swallowing
  • Regurgitation/vomiting

Diagnosing Acid Reflux

Acid Reflux can be diagnosed if symptoms are present at least twice a week. It can also be diagnosed through various tests, including:

  • Biopsy
  • Endoscopy
  • Upper GI Series

Acid Reflux Treatment Options

Acid reflux can be treated with over-the-counter medications and also surgery in severe cases.
