Physical Therapy for Elders

Mercy LIFE (Living Independently for Elders) certified physical therapists work with seniors to help maintain their current functional abilities. Our physical therapists assist seniors using heat therapy, mobility exercises, fall prevention strategies and other techniques. They can also make recommendations for assistive devices such as walkers, wheelchairs and braces. Seniors have full access to physical therapy as needed.

Occupational Therapy for Elders

Mercy LIFE (Living Independently for Elders) certified occupational therapists ensure safety in senior's homes and can make recommendations to prevent falls and improve functionality around the home. Our therapists are also available to assist with kitchen safety and can provide devices to help with daily grooming activities.

On-Call Physicians

Mercy LIFE providers are on-call 24 hours a day/7 days a week and are available to speak with seniors in the event of a medical emergency. Call 215.339.4747.

Enrolling in Mercy LIFE

  • You must be 55 or older.
  • Need the level of care that requires nursing facility type services.
  • Live in Delaware County or one of the following Philadelphia County zip codes: 19106, 19107, 19122, 19123, 19125, 19133, 19134, 19137, 19140, 19145, 19146, 19147, or 19148.
  • Need medical care and supportive services and are able to live in the community safely with the services provided through Mercy LIFE.
