Digital mammography is redefining the way women’s healthcare is delivered and provides a new option in breast health. The key role of digital mammography is to identify breast cancer in its development when it is very small. This is often a year or two before it is felt by your healthcare provider. Mammography detects about 2-3 times as many early breast cancers as a physical examination.

Stereotactic biopsy uses a computer to enable healthcare providers to locate and obtain a sample of a questionable area on a mammogram. Because this procedure can be done in radiology on an out-patient basis, it is rapidly replacing surgical biopsy. Women who undergo stereotactic biopsy can take comfort in knowing that the procedure is safe, simple and only mildly uncomfortable.

A Breast Ultrasound enhances the standard ultrasound image by providing a four dimensional view of the structure and movement of the body's internal organs, as well as blood flowing through blood vessels.  Ultrasound is often used to diagnose medical conditions or symptoms.
