Mercy Health System Names Dr. Eliot Heller as Chief Medical Information Officer
Conshohocken, Pa. (January 27, 2012): Eliot Heller, MD, has been appointed chief medical information officer (CMIO) at Mercy Health System.
Heller joins Mercy Health System from Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, where he served as chief medical information officer and attending cardiologist. He also held past positions of chief of cardiology and director of nuclear cardiology at the hospital. At Mercy Health System, he will lead the development and implementation of strategies to advance the use and optimization of information technology across the continuum of care.

Heller received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. His fellowship was completed in cardiovascular medicine at Yale University in New Haven. Heller is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the Certification Council of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
