Nazareth Hospital Earns Environmental Award from Cintas for Recycling Efforts
NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (September 25, 2014): Nazareth Hospital was recently honored with the 2013 Environmental Award from Cintas for its document recycling efforts throughout the year.
The award recognizes Nazareth’s efforts to reduce environmental waste by shredding papers and sensitive documents through its services. Using a formula, Cintas calculated that Nazareth Hospital saved 1,411 trees, 166 barrels of oil, 581,000 gallons of water and reduced the use of 249 cubic yards of landfill by recycling and shredding its paper waste.
“Nazareth Hospital is incredibly proud of this award because we are committed to being good stewards of the environment through responsible recycling and waste management practices,” said Nancy Cherone, Executive Director for Nazareth Hospital.
Mercy Health System — which operates Nazareth Hospital — uses Cintas as its document management provider.
