Mercy Bariatrics Welcomes New Program Facilitator
Darby, PA (June 29, 2015) – The Mercy Bariatrics program at Mercy Fitzgerald and Mercy Philadelphia Hospitals has announced that Linda Keller-Doyle has joined their team as Bariatric Program Facilitator.
In this role, Keller-Doyle serves as the primary contact for all bariatric patients throughout their weight loss journey. She meets with patients on their first visit, when she explains how the program works and answers questions they may have. As patients prepare for their upcoming surgery, she walks them through their preoperative appointments, provides ongoing support and follows up after their procedures.
“It’s crucial that our patients have a supportive network of people that will help them before, during and after surgery,” says Keller-Doyle. “Our patients can count on me to help them through their entire journey. I’m here to help them make lifestyle changes that will improve their outcomes and overall health, and ultimately, help them live longer, healthier lives!”
Keller-Doyle coordinates nutrition classes and support group meetings for bariatric patients, as well.
“Mercy Bariatrics is a very people-centered program and our team treats every patient like a family member,” she adds. “I’m proud to be part of a team that gets to know our patients very well and is able to make a big impact on their future.”
Mercy Bariatrics is an award-winning program that has helped more than 1,300 people successfully lose weight and sustain a healthier lifestyle. Mercy Bariatrics has earned multiple distinctions, including Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence®, Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery®, and Aetna Institute of Quality® Bariatric Surgery Facility designations at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital.
