Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital One of Four in U.S. to Receive Wound Center Award
Darby, Pa. (April 6, 2015) – Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is pleased to announce its Advanced Wound Care Center is one of only four wound care centers in the United States to receive the newly launched Wound Center of Excellence Award from RestorixHealth®. This award is for the period September through December 2014. As a recipient of this award, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital’s Advanced Would Care Center meets or exceeds national wound care quality benchmarks in areas including healing outcomes and safety, along with a patient satisfaction rate of 95 percent or higher.

The Advanced Wound Care Center at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is a specialized, outpatient wound care treatment center dedicated to the care of patients with chronic, non-healing wounds, such as those resulting from diabetes, circulatory problems or injury resulting from radiation. It is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of physicians and nurses offering the most advanced therapies available including hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
