Nazareth Hospital Dedicates Marian Conference Rooms to Angelo DiBello, MD
NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (November 13, 2017): Nazareth Hospital renamed its newly renovated Conference Center in honor of Angelo DiBello, MD, on Wednesday, November 1, with over 75 people in attendance. Dr. DiBello was a family practice physician who dedicated 63 years to Nazareth before he passed away in March of 2017.
Left to Right: Dr. Richard Vassallo, Nazareth Cardiologist, Mrs. Matilda DiBello, and Nancy Cherone, Executive Director, celebrated the dedication of the Marian Conference Rooms to the late Angelo DiBello, MD, who practiced at Nazareth Hospital for 63 years before retiring in 2016.
“We will always be grateful for Dr. DiBello’s dedication and service to our patients and our community,” said Nancy Cherone, Nazareth’s Executive Director. “We are so pleased his memory will continue to live on.”
The Medical Staff of Nazareth generously presented a check of $50,000 at the ceremony to renovate the conference rooms. The money has already been used to update the carpets and paint the walls, and will be used in the near future to install high-tech conference equipment.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. DiBello earned his medical degree at Hahnemann Medical College in 1954. He started his internship at Nazareth Hospital in July 1954 and began his family practice in Holmesburg, joining the Nazareth Medical Staff in 1955. He served as treasurer of the Nazareth Hospital Medical Staff for nearly 40 years.
