Lewis Rose, MD, FACP, is Dr. Skromak Award Winner
Philadelphia, PA (May 10, 2017): Lewis J. Rose, MD, FACP, Medical Director of Oncology at Nazareth Hospital, received the Dr. Stanley J. Skromak award at Nazareth’s Doctors’ Day celebration. This award is presented annually to a Nazareth Hospital physician who exemplifies dedication to the medical profession, fosters medical education, demonstrates exemplary patient/physician interaction, shows courtesy and respect towards everyone, and who is a true “doctor’s doctor.” The 2016 recipient was Lee A. Celio, MD, FACP.
Dr. Rose is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology and joined the staff of Nazareth in 1984.
The award is named for Dr. Stanley J. Skromak, one of the founding physicians at Nazareth Hospital, and Medical Staff President during the 1960s. Dr. Skromak was noted for his medical knowledge and friendly approach to his patients.
