Dine with the Docs Community Q&A Series Continues with “Are You at Risk for Fatty Liver and Cirrhosis?”

Darby, Pa. (February 1, 2018): Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will continue its popular Dine with the Docs community series with “Are You at Risk for Fatty Liver and Cirrhosis” on February 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Over a complimentary meal, the session will feature a lecture followed by a Q&A session with Ronald Concha-Parra, MD, on this often-overlooked disease.

About one-third of adults in the United States have a buildup of excess fat in their livers, which—in severe cases—can lead to complications such as liver cancer, cardiovascular disease and liver failure. Dr. Concha-Parra will offer insight into the risk factors for those likely to develop fatty liver and cirrhosis.

Dine with the Docs is an educational series where community members can learn about and discuss important health topics with Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital physicians and clinicians. The event will take place in Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital’s Medical Science Building in the Norman N. Cohen, MD Auditorium located at 1500 Lansdowne Ave., Darby, Pa.
