Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital to Host Comprehensive Bariatric Events in October
Darby, Pa. (September 27, 2018): In October, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will host free community events to help weight-loss surgery patients achieve healthy lifestyles. Each month, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital offers a series of comprehensive events to help improve and maintain the overall health of bariatric surgery patients.
On October 2, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will host a bariatric information session to educate patients about life-changing weight-loss surgery options and support services. Patients also will have the opportunity to meet Mercy’s bariatric surgeons. The information session will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Registration is required. On October 8 and 22, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will host nutrition classes to help patients construct a healthy dietary plan and successfully keep off excess weight. The classes will meet from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Registration is not required.
Also on October 8, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will host a support group meeting for patients to share stories about their weight-loss journeys and offer each other advice. The class will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. Registration is not required.
