Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital to Host Bariatric Events in March
Darby, Pa. (March 1, 2019): In March, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will host free community events to help weight-loss surgery patients achieve healthy lifestyles. Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital offers events each month to provide continued support and education for bariatric surgery patients.
On March 12, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will host a bariatric information session to educate patients about life-changing weight-loss surgery options and support services. Patients also will have the opportunity to meet Mercy’s bariatric surgeons. The information session will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Registration is required. On March 11 and 25, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will host bariatric nutrition classes to help patients successfully keep off excess weight and improve overall health. The classes will meet from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Registration is not required.
Additionally, on March 11, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital will host a bariatric support group meeting for patients to share stories about their weight-loss journeys and offer each other advice. The group will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. Registration is not required.
