Pass the popcorn! Celebrate the summer at Mercy LIFE
Is there a better way to spend a summer day than making your own ice cream? Other than taking the time to eat it, of course!
How about building sand castles or tending a garden? Or taking home prizes from a bingo tournament?
These are just a few of the things that take place during the summer at Mercy LIFE. As it does year-round, the program offers all sorts of enjoyable activities.
“We try to give people a chance to experience things that they may never have had a chance to experience,” says Elizabeth Johnson, CTRS, Recreational Therapy Supervisor at the North Hancock Mercy LIFE Center. But more than anything, she says, “we have fun!”
No matter what you like to do, there’s a good chance you’ll find something you enjoy at Mercy LIFE. You might try your hand at yoga. Or perhaps you’d prefer to play dominos—or give ceramics a whirl. Maybe you’re a fan of trivia contests or Bible study classes. At Mercy LIFE we have something for everyone. “Every day is different,” Johnson says. “You’ll love it.”
And coming in August, be sure to watch for the annual carnival. There’ll be a range of games, a dunk tank, cotton candy—and don’t forget the popcorn!
